Charlie Norton supports customers in the southern portion of Orange County, northern portion of San Diego County and a portion of south LA County in Southern California.

Charlie became a partner of Halbar in December 1989. He brings extensive experience in the design and application of control electronics and components.

Prior to joining Halbar, Charlie was a Project Manager for servo mechanism development programs at General Dynamics. He was responsible for technical marketing and system design and evaluation. This experience allowed Charlie the opportunity to gain significant knowledge of motion systems in high-reliability applications.

Graduate of University of California, Davis, with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and a MS degree in Electrical Engineering and Control Systems from California State University, Fullerton.

Charlie is a graduate of the Certified Professional Manufacturing Representative (CPMR) curriculum from Arizona State University.

John Montgomery supports customers in North Los Angeles County, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, San Luis Obispo County, Kern County in Southern California, and Clark County, Nevada.

John became a partner in Halbar in January 1999. He brings twelve years experience of successful selling and a broad knowledge of the Southern California marketplace, with both electromechanical and electronic products.

Prior to Halbar, John served as President and a founding officer of Singleton, Montgomery & Schulte, Inc., a manufacturers' representatives firm with coverage in Southern California and San Diego.

A graduate of the University of Western Michigan University with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.

John is a graduate of the Certified Professional Manufacturing Representative (CPMR) curriculum from Arizona State University.

Before joining Halbar, Nick was a successful Manufacturers Representative covering the Southwest mountain states of Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. His primary focus was mechanical products such as commercial/aerospace bearings and components, linear actuators/motion, and machine safeguarding.

Prior to being a Manufacturers Representative, Nick was a Sales Engineer for INA Bearing Company. His experience prior to this was with MGI Electronics performing worldwide sales and plant management for this semiconductor equipment manufacturer.

Nick has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and is also a graduate of the Certified Professional Manufacturing Representative course.

Kurt earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After college, he worked for Parker Compumotor in the Los Angeles area for several years, handling application engineering, distribution management and sales management, ultimately achieving Parker's President's Club for outstanding sales growth. After Parker, Kurt joined Advanced Motion Controls where he was the DC Servo Drive Product Manager, Advertising Manager and a Regional Manager.

Prior to joining Halbar, Kurt was the Western Region Manager for MicroE Systems, an industry leading encoder manufacturer. While at MicroE, Kurt focused on OEM sales and was responsible for significant sales growth in his territory.
